Tasting notes

With classic Canberra notes of white pepper, spice and red currants this is the prefect red for any occasion. Delicious with both a rib eye off the bbq or a pizza out of the pizza oven. The Curmudgeon is drinking perfectly now, but will be an absolute keeper for the next 10 years.

The Grape

Shiraz or Syrah

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
