Hand-harvested fruit from Marananga. Basket pressed, matured 18 months in seasoned French oak hogheads; unrefined and unfiltered. Bank for buck, all the action and exuberance of western Barossa unites in deeply coloured, vibrant purple thing. Dense layers of compact black plums, blackberries and licorice are bolstered by lashings of dark chocolate French oak, holding a long finish of medium-grained tannins.
Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
