The nose on our 2017 Jack Harrison Shiraz is a huge blast of cassis-driven pepper spiced plum, over a savoury ‘butchers block’ undertone. The palate of this four-year-old youngster is a wall of juicy, dark, lush berry fruit, kept in shape by solid tramlines of beautifully silken tannins, throughout a very long persistent fruit-driven palate. The acid / tannin / fruit balance is impressive and it will be exciting to watch this wine open and age - which we expect will happen quite gracefully.

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
