About the wine

Tasting notes

Deep brick red. Dark cherry/bitter chocolate/demi-glace aromas with touches of marmalade. The wine is very firm with dark cherry/bitter chocolate/mocha/herb garden flavours and grained chalky - almost stemmy - tannins. Finishes oily dry but it still has great flavour length.

The Grape

Shiraz or Syrah

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
