Two beautiful years for an Off-Dry ‘Eylandt’ Reserve from a stunning single vineyard in Pipers River – 2020 and 2021. Buy together to taste and compare, with only a few boxes of 2020 left you don’t want to miss out!The wine is made in the best years only and sees extended skin and lees contact, with partial fermentation in French oak. It is delicate, pure and elegant: a unique representation of the finest Riesling grown on this island. Fermentation was stopped early to retain natural grape sugars, balancing with the beautiful acid line. 8.5% alcohol and all delicious.Eylandt (Dutch for island) is the script from Abel Tasman’s 1642 journal when he first charted Van Diemen’s Land.

Tasting notes

I want this wine to encapsulate everything I love about wine and Tasmania: it is powerful, yet elegant; bracing, yet generous. It is full of heady aromas and packed with flavour. It shows intensely floral aromas, with lemon and lime sherbet characters before a lively palate of white peach, apricot, citrus and almond meal complexity. There is a pleasing fruity sweetness along with a seamless acid line that ties everything together and screams‘bring me fresh seafood!’
